Chlorantraniliprole is a ryanodine receptor modulator. It is a novel substituted anthranilamide insecticide. Lambdacyhalothrin is a new generation photostable pyrethroid insecticide that has been developed to control a wide range of chewing and sucking insect pests. Together, Lambdacyhalothrin 4.6% and Chlorantraniliprole 9.3% ZC are broad-spectrum foliar insecticides that provide both rapid knockdown and long-lasting efficacy against pests.

Chlorantraniliprole activates ryanodine receptors in insects. This activation causes calcium to be released from the internal stores of smooth and striated muscle, resulting in impaired muscle regulation, paralysis, and, eventually, insect death. Chlorantraniliprole has a strong preference for insect ryanodine receptors over mammalian receptors. Pyrethroids are sodium channel modulators that disrupt insect central nervous systems. After contact, the pests are rendered immobile and eventually die. However, while feeding stops almost immediately, death can take up to four days. The host plant is not harmed during this time.
